Reptilia

A diverse group, uniting animals that may seem to have little in common save for the scales coating their bodies. Turtles and tortoises wear a shield of bone, snakes sacrificed their legs in the course of their evolution, lizards occupy habitats from ocean coasts to tropical treetops and crocodiles have thrived and remained largely unchanged for over 80 million years. There is an amazing array of form and color to explore in this group.
